Further Information for Teachers and Managed Groups
Many Letchworth Garden City Schools have already visited Wymondley Wood, as the resource is totally free to use, why not bring your school or managed group along to experience it too.
To help you make the most of Wymondley Wood, an Educational Resource pack is available to teachers and managed groups, on request. The pack contains:
Maps, activities and teachers notes for each of the trails within the educational facility. Generic offsite visits risk assessment records. A CD-Rom of the above resources, in a PDF format, in addition to hard copies. Also included in the pack are laminated A3 colour copies of the information boards at the wood. Booking Wymondley Wood
Before you visit Wymondley Wood, it is essential that you contact Alastair Stewart, to book the facility for your school or group. Please telephone 01462 476037 or email alastairs@letchworth.com
It is recommended that you also book the North Hertfordshire Scout and Guide Centre. The Centre is situated within the perimeter of the wood, and it offers toilets, washing facilities, and a warm, dry teaching area.
