The Garden City's working farm and one of the East of England's most popular wildlife and animal attractions, Standalone Farm is set in 170 acres of farmland. In addition to the farm animals there are displays in the exhibition barn containing 70 bird specimens, mammals, animal skulls, model dinosaurs, creepy crawlies and a working beehive. A gentle stroll away are specially constructed hides to view wildfowl in their natural habitat. A pleasant picnic area is located next to an outdoor children's play area and indoor picnic facilities are available during inclement weather. The farm walk takes you through surrounding paddocks, past sheep, cows, different breeds of goats and horses all contentedly grazing.
Open from late February/early March to the end of September and situated on Wilbury Road within easy reach of A1(M) Junction 10 and the A505 to Hitchin and Baldock, Standalone Farm offers ample parking facilities.
