Radwell Meadows Country Park

Radwell Meadows is the perfect place for you to begin your exploration of the Greenway. Situated on Nortonbury Lane, near Norton village and within a few minutes drive of the A507 Arlesey-Stotfold by-pass and A1(M) Junction 10, Radwell Meadows is a major public recreation facility, featuring an award-winning children's play area with an approved safety surface, picnic tables and car parking. There are also several fixed barbecues provided for your convenience, so you can even cook your own food, but please bring your own fuel.

Radwell Meadows has been specially designed to improve existing animal and plant habitats and create many new ones. A great deal of ornamental and woodland planting has taken place to sustain and enrich the environment. Particular consideration has been given to traditional grazing on ancient meadows, setting aside land formerly used for arable crops, revitalising the banks of the River Ivel, tending to hedgerows, trees and shrubs, and extensive replanting. To help you find out more about the wildlife of Radwell Meadows and the way the area is being sustained there is an area plan and interpretation board located on site.
